About the Author
James R. Riddle is an educator, author, and public speaker who has spent over twenty-five years of his life studying faith from both a scriptural and scientific perspective. He believes that success is a self-actualizing journey of service and that to serve God is to be the person you are created to be. His friendly and honest approach, coupled with his sincere compassion for the Lord and humanity has won him an interdenominational audience. This is an AMAZING book

If I could only buy one book other than a Bible to impact my soul with the word of God, this would be it. When my mother collapsed with a cardiac arrest, this book was by our side. We proclaimed God's promises over her and saw her make a full recovery and her heart completely healed to the amazement of the doctors. (Prior it was only working at 30% capacity which we did not know until she collapsed.) This book not only contains the promises, it contains declarations of faith where you can proclaim the promise over yourself and receive it by faith. For it is by grace you have been saved, (Greek word sozo meaning saved, healed, delivered, blessed, set apart, made whole) through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) The very first promise you should read is is 2 Corinthians 1:20 which says: "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God." When you speak the declarations of faith over yourself and speak the "amen" (so be this promise for me) over those words, you are receiving by faith what only God can accomplish and bringing Him glory in the process. He is glorified when you learn who you are in Christ and that you truly are a new creation with citizenship in the kingdom of God. If you put this book to work (learn to work the word) it will totally transform your life!

Promises and more..

Strictly speaking I don't think these are all promises. But I see declarations made on scriptures here which can definitely renew your mind if you will speak them often. The author shows us how to apply scripture to our lives which is very important ,he shows us by declarations how to make God's word alive for your own life. Not exactly what I thought the book would be but it definitely has value.

About the Author
Brigitte Baldi is a graduate of France's Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, France. In her academic studies, she combined a love of math and quantitative analysis with wide interests in the life sciences. She studied math and biology in a double major and obtained a Masters in molecular biology and biochemistry and a Masters in cognitive sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Universite Paris VI studying multisensory integration in the brain and used computer simulations to study patterns of brain reorganization after lesion as a post-doctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. She then worked as a management consultant advising corporations before returning to academia to teach statistics. Dr. Baldi is currently a lecturer in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine. She is actively involved in statistical education. She was a local and later national advisor in the development of the statistics telecourse Statistically Speaking, replacing David Moore's earlier telecourse Against All Odds. She developed UCI's first online statistics courses and is interested in ways to integrate new technologies in the classroom to enhance participation and learning. She is currently serving as an elected member to the Executive Committee At Large of the section on Statistical Education of the American Statistical Association. David S. Moore is Shanti S. Gupta Distinguished Professor of Statistics, Emeritus, at Purdue University, USA, and was 1998 president of the American Statistical Association. He received his AB from Princeton and his PhD from Cornell, both in mathematics. He has written many research papers in statistical theory and served on the editorial boards of several major journals. Professor Moore is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association and of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute. He has served as program director for statistics and probability at the National Science Foundation. In recent years, Professor Moore has devoted his attention to the teaching of statistics. He was the content developer for the Annenberg/Corporation for Public Broadcasting college-level telecourse Against All Odds: Inside Statistics and for the series of video modules Statistics: Decisions through Data, intended to aid the teaching of statistics in schools. He is the author of influential articles on statistics education and of several leading texts. Professor Moore has served as president of the International Association for Statistical Education and has received the Mathematical Association of America's national award for distinguished college or university teaching of mathematics.

The 3 ring binder version does not fit any 3 ...

The 3 ring binder version does not fit any 3 ring binders as the book is 8.5x10" paper vs 8.5x11" paper. You'd think that a bunch of mathematicians could have figured that one out. So now I have loose leaf all over the place. It's also very pricey for no binding and the fact that I have no way to bind it!

I had to download Kindle in order to access this e-text and it was a fast and easy process. I'm using this text for a class and it is fairly straight-forward, with helpful exercises. Although the exercises can usually be done by hand, it is also helpful to get some form of spreadsheet program (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Minitab, etc.)
